Brothers Hank and Bo Whitman formally founded Lexington Paint & Supply in 1984. Lexington Paint, as it has become affectionately known, was the culmination of years of research and product development. The early goal was creating the best fence paints available for the Central Kentucky equine industry. This goal has turned into the backbone of the company; however, Lexington Paint is now much more than just a fence paint maker.

The best paint, at the best price, coupled with unmatched customer service has allowed us to become the industry standard for agricultural and industrial paints across the United States and Canada. We even ship to Europe.

The 40 paint seasons we have been in business have seen many changes to the farm and industrial painting industries. From more efficient airless painting equipment to the emergence of latexes in the market, we have evolved and continue to evolve with the best possible products.

Fencecoat Black was the early driving force for our success and, all these years later, it continues to dominate as the only major oil based black fence paint on the market. 30 years ago, when latex exterior agricultural paint products were absent from the market we developed and introduced Fence Pro Black. Today, Fence Pro Black stands as the leading latex fence paint on the market and continues to grow in popularity every year.

In our first ten years, we built an entire line of paint products for the agricultural user. The agricultural painter places unique demands on his products and we produce products to address these demands. By specializing in fence paint, barn paint, aluminum paint and agricultural coatings in general, we are able to focus on the needs of the agricultural user and not waste resources (higher prices) on qualities these users see little, if any value in. Simply put, you cannot beat the value of our products in the agricultural community. 

Industries outside the agricultural community have taken notice of our quality products and we see continued sustained demand from many industrial customers for quality interior and exterior coatings at superior prices.
