Shelf Life
2 years in unopened cans. To maximize shelf life, store out of direct sunlight. Product will not be affected if stored below 32°F. Product should be lightly stirred before use. Over agitation can result in duller appearance.
Coverage
Flat surfaces 250-300 sq. ft. / gal.
Coverage depends on many factors such as porosity and roughness of the substrate and material losses during application. Using less than recommended material will lead to decreased durability.
Drying Time @ 77°F / RH 50%
Set to touch: 4 hour
Re-coat: 8 hours
Fully dry: 24 hours
Drying times vary based on exposure to sunlight, rain, dew, and temperature. Do not paint if rain is expected within 24 hrs.
Recommended Film Thickness
Wet film – per coat: 3.0 to 4.0 mils
Dry film – per coat: 1.5 to 2.0 mils
Do not apply over 5.0 mils wet. Heavy coats will cause running, slow drying, and reduction in metallic appearance.
Application
Product should be lightly stirred before use. Thinning is not recommended.
Method: Brush, roll, or spray.
Airless spray:
- Rating: 0.5 gallons / minute minimum
- Pressure: 2,000 psi
- Filter: 60 mesh
- Tip Size: 0.017″ to 0.021″
Surface Preparation
Remove oil, dust, dirt, loose, rust, peeling paint, and other contaminants. While not required, appropriate metal primer will extend the life of this coating and slow corrosion on rusted metal.
